Students On Ice (SOI) is an award-winning organization offering educational expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic. Our goal is to provide students with a hands-on, transformative experience in one of the most fascinating and rapidly evolving places in the world – an experience that will stay with them and inspire new perspectives, goals and ambitions as leaders and global citizens.
Guided by a team of scientists, elders, artists and visionary leaders SOI’s 2018 Arctic Expedition will take 120 high school and university students from around the world on a two-week journey to explore the eastern Canadian High Arctic and western Greenland. The expedition dates are July 23 – August 7.
Students will engage in place-based learning, cross-cultural discussions and hands-on workshops as they explore the environmental, cultural, economic and political challenges and opportunities facing the Arctic, and how they can make a difference.

Applications and Scholarships
WE NEED YOUR HELP! In the past, we have found teacher support to be one of the most effective ways to get students to apply. From exposing youth to the program, to walking them through the application process, teachers play an integral role in making these life-changing journeys a reality for students.
Scholarships are available for Canadian, American and International youth.
Deadline to apply is March 1st, 2018.
