New video promotes value of physics education

The Canadian Association of Physicists Foundation – dedicated to supporting and encouraging physics education in Canada – is pleased to announce the development of a series of four videos entitled “Physicists Among Us – Meet the Problem Solvers”.  These videos show the rewarding and varied career options available to those with a physics education and they are targeted to physics educators to help spark a passion for future physics education among Canadian youth.

We are excited to share with you the first video spotlighting Irene Vavasour, a MRI researcher, and Jeff Vavasour, a video game developer, who explain how physics created job opportunities for them. (https://youtu.be/i5QbwfiT-tE)  Additional videos will be rolled out over the next two months.

We encourage you to share this video as part of your organization’s outreach efforts with educators.  We would appreciate being copied on any emails sent (to comms@cap.ca) or mentioned on any tweets or Facebooks Posts (@CAPhys)

Thank you for your help and support,
