Solar Eclipse Viewing Party
August 21 • 11:30 am – 2:30 pm
Get ready for this summer’s solar eclipse! In Manitoba, the sun will be 70% eclipsed – join us at the Museum as we view the event LIVE with safe solar telescopes. We’ll also have a live feed from the central eclipse path, showing the awe-inspiring total solar eclipse.

Summer Day Camps
The Manitoba Museum offers two different summer camps. Themes for weeks 1 and 2 alternate throughout the summer so your kids can enjoy a single week or two weeks in a row! Sibling discount is available. Summer camps include a variety of hands-on science and immersive history activities including:

Rocket Summer Camp
A BRAND NEW program for kids aged 9-12 takes flight at the Manitoba Museum this summer! Spend the day exploring how rockets work and build your own flying model that can soar up to 500 feet in the air!. Rockets will be launched at a special event on Saturday, August 12.

DinoSnores: A Night at the Museum

Dinos Before Dinner
August 11 and 25 • 6:15pm
What we know about dinosaurs has changed since you were a kid! Join our guided tour of World’s Giant Dinosaurs. After the tour, you’ll receive a coupon to save 10% on your food order at BluFish Sushi so you can feed your dino-sized appetite. Your tour is included with admission; however, you must register at reception upon arrival – first come first served.

An educational full-dome theatre show developed by Manitoba Museum staff, Chasing the Shadow explores the mystery of eclipses throughout history and highlights the solar eclipse visible from Manitoba on August 21. Discover why this amazing event occurs, and how and when to view it safely.
